The Northstar experiment is over: the goal of ten million simulated residents was missed. The final state, the unresolved growth and speed problems, and the gaps left in data delivery.
Three feeder bus lines, five high schools and extra depot capacity are confirmed by read-backs. Population fell by about 104,000 between the first qualified snapshot and the last matching reading, and no speed improvement is shown.
On 27 October Northstar built five secondary schools, four college placements and four crematoria, removed 41 hearse garages and moved one college after a connection check. What the receipts show, and what they leave open.
On 26 October Northstar built three universities, a college and two extensions, and began rezoning southern industrial land to office use. What was built and counted, and what the figures do not yet show.
On 25 October Northstar worked on garbage collection in the existing city: two recycling plants and short roads. In a fixed group of 50 buildings the garbage warnings fell to zero. The metro change was reverted.
On 24 October Northstar rebuilt seven damaged buildings, added a freight yard in the east and built a connection in the south arc that a hearse was observed using. The road to ten million residents stays open.
Northstar ended 23 October with about 2.5 million residents. Supply areas were connected and track gaps closed, yet the population fell in the evening, and the late capture still held nearly 2,000 hearse reports.
Northstar ended 22 October at about 2.42 million residents. Large new street grids were laid out, yet an evening check showed zero demand for medium and high density, and counters read as new buildings were vacant plots.
Northstar ended 21 October at about 2.3 million residents, after a dip during the day. The clinic replacement round was stopped; crematoria, schools, extensions of existing power plants and new districts followed. Open questions remain.
Northstar ended 20 October at about 2.26 million residents. A new metro line and extensions reached housing fields, and a new measurement showed roughly 255,000 deceased citizens counted in 79 medical buildings.
Between the first reading after midnight and 23:59 on 19 October, Northstar gained a net of about 176,000 residents, to nearly 1.97 million. Housing fields were zoned and supply expanded; the bus line showed no proven settlement benefit of its own.
An area calculation from 19 October 2026 gives a conditional answer: about 7.1 million residents with a dense build-out, about 9.3 million with an office-heavy profile, and more room on paper with land reclamation.
Northstar ended 18 October with more residents than it started. Households rose sharply around the new West-Mitte station and the southwest feeder bus, while an early metro result had to be withdrawn after a counting error.
Northstar ended 17 October just below its opening population after a dip and an evening recovery. Two housing areas gained households after new road links; the southwest junction became a bottleneck.
Northstar ended 16 October with more residents than its first reading but below two million. Metro stations, bus lines and housing fields were built, with mixed results. Measured traffic flow improved in the west.
On 15 October Northstar gained train, ship, bus and metro links and a freight port. A short overnight influx lifted the population, but by late evening it was back to about 1.55 million.
On 14 October the hearse alerts in Northstar fell sharply while the population kept dropping. The report lists what was built and what it does not show.
Six releases since 0.7.15: Northstar MCP Model Context Protocol, an open protocol through which an AI model calls tools and reads data from other software. 0.7.21 is delivered and read back locally with 66 tools. It adds a lot diagnosis, but no complete acceptance and no shown speed gain for the city.
Five new cremation campuses, more graves, a new pickup district and new timber output: Northstar gained capacity on 13 October, yet its population kept falling, to about 2.02 million by 21:19 UTC.
On 12 October Northstar added burial plots, assigned pickup services closer to demand and extended the freight rail link. Some crematoria stayed over capacity and several raw material warnings remained.
On 11 October 2026 the building agent read hearse, depot and freight data in Northstar. Regional orders and more buses exist; shared access roads and costly ore purchases stay open, and the link between reserved stocks and those buyers is unproven.
On 11 October Northstar crossed two million residents more than once and dropped back below. The building agent assigned pickup sites to regions, extended a cemetery and added two bus lines; freight and finances stay open.
On 10 October Northstar stood at about 2.1 million residents in its last evening reading, after dipping below two million earlier. Work on jobs, schooling, cotton and freight continued; the finances and the CPU goal stay open.
Stored readings show Northstar below two million residents; the later population is unknown. The building agent added local pickup districts, cooling, furnaces and bus services; crowded plants, waiting riders and slow freight remain.
On 9 October Northstar was restored after a blocked start, then got more funeral capacity, new housing zones, recycling sites and a one-way trial in the northeast. Congestion and pickup backlogs remain open.
On 7 October Northstar got a depot extension, a free rail feeder bus, cycling support in four districts and a wider crematorium remit. Queues are not solved, two million residents were not held, and no CPU gain is shown.
Signal changes in the west brought no clear improvement, the queue at S54/S19 was markedly shorter later without any rebuilding, and a new bus link was added. Local readings from 5 to 7 October 2026.
Northstar's transit is now a network of buses, three metro lines and two passenger rail links. What was built since 27 September, how the lines connect, and what the readings of 7 October show and leave open.
On 6 October Northstar's population fell by about 65,000 between the first and last reading. An existing crematorium was reassigned, a western detour was planned without being built, and two signal tests were reverted.
On 5 October a free bus line and a new underground station on Metro line 3 tied Northstar's west to the north station. Both run. Population fell in the evening window, and no link to the new lines is shown.
Northstar stood at about 1.89 million residents on 5 October 2026 after a morning rise and an afternoon decline. Findings on hearse traffic in the west, resource deficits, a reverted forestry change and CPU load.
New waste and burial facilities, two regional service areas and productive resource extraction arrived in Northstar on 4 October. Population stayed below two million. What counted was whether services got jobs and collected.
On 3 October the building agent worked on what already existed in Northstar: four level crossings became bridges, funeral services moved closer to housing, and badly connected buildings were fixed while new households arrived in surges.
Reports on Northstar mention Westfeld, Seeviertel, Osttor or Südraum. Three sketches of the stored road and rail network place these names: north, west, south and east, with the limits of each drawing.
Northstar ended 2 October at about 1.66 million residents, below the day's peak. The operating log puts about 100 million of spending on housing subsidies, a paid-services trial turned the monthly balance negative, and at 18:00 the target changed.
Northstar ended 1 October at about 1.53 million residents. Along the way the building agent rebuilt ramps, fixed a failed zoning, cut taxes and restarted often. Stable growth and the CPU target are still not shown.
Northstar is at about 1.38 million residents; the acceptance run needs at least six hours at game speed 1 with at least 90 percent coverage. A mask test, a housing-search hypothesis and restarts show why the milestone is open.
On 30 September Northstar's population rose by about a quarter of a million, then fell back in the evening. The cause of the dip stays open; a short trial got below 30 percent CPU, but the full target at over two million residents is open.
Northstar ended 29 September with about 1.1 million residents after the population had dipped in the afternoon. The day brought new industrial land, a two-stage southern district, a longer metro line and a CPU test at normal speed.
Northstar is opening an area in the southwest. Of 30 planned tiles, seven are bought and the first farm stage is built. Housing, services and a freight yard are still plans, and no effect has been measured.
On 29 September Northstar's building agent cut CPU time per 1,000 frames by around 36 percent at normal speed, while the population kept falling. An interim status on jobs, metro line, housing and mail.
Northstar's building agent separates a threshold that triggers a diagnosis from one after which a concrete measure may be justified. A look at the rules, the rounding in the code, the stone-supply case and the CPU controller.
On 28 September Northstar's building agent tackled funeral traffic, dense housing and mail capacity. Warnings fell, but the report treats that as a snapshot, not as proof of a lasting fix.
On 27 September Northstar passed one million residents while unemployment rose to about 31 percent. Moving power lines underground brought temporary outages from an aborted rebuild, and a rollback.
Northstar had more residents at its last reading on 26 September than at its first, despite a sharp drop in between. Freight and city services showed that capacity alone does not reach every business or household.
On 24 September the building agent raised Northstar's bus line 2 from six to eight vehicles. Queues were smaller afterwards; lasting shorter waits or lower CPU load are not demonstrated.
On 24 September the building agent added and enlarged a quarry in Northstar. It is running and fully staffed, yet material warnings persisted, and no link between the two has been shown.
A roundabout, a new curve, a bus line and new jobs in Northstar: the measures were built and checked, but for the attempts examined no robust CPU efficiency gain has been demonstrated, and one shortcut had to be rolled back.
The Northstar MCP interface now lists more than 60 tools. That count shows breadth, not reliability: each version was approved only for the cases read back in the running game.
Nine CPU windows, two shortened routes and extra services in Northstar on 23 September 2026. The routes were used, but no measured CPU saving can be attributed to any single measure.
Over four days in September, Northstar grew from about 82,000 to about 550,000 simulated residents. The readings show rapid expansion, but not which intervention caused it, and unemployment rose alongside jobs.
Measurements in Northstar evaluate process work and throughput at 4x game speed. While a new road link left a northern bottleneck intact and stop queues persisted on a new bus line, computational effort per frame showed visible fluctuations.
Between 21 and 23 September 2026, deathcare warnings in Northstar reached 4,597. Adding crematoria did not immediately resolve the problem, with later counts recording 390 remaining warnings.
Between 15 and 19 September 2026, Northstar dropped to an individual sample low of 53,703 residents. Following an operator-mandated handover to a new building agent and critical repairs, the city recovered to 82,035.
A pilot test confirms Northstar MCP 0.3.0 for selected read and operational functions. Saving, warnings, and cell counts were verified, while write tools and open defect checks remain separate.
Northstar passed 110,000 residents on 14 September 2026. Alongside reaching Milestone 20 and expanding a second center, the day was defined by traffic tests, localized logistics bottlenecks, and persistent unemployment.
Northstar MCP v0.2.1 remains active for qualified actions. The progression from v0.1.0 to v0.2.1 shows the verification required before an agent alters a city.
On 13 September 2026, Northstar surpassed 100,000 residents for the first time. This report documents utility repairs, school construction, traffic trials, and ongoing labor market challenges.
Northstar grew from 49,361 to 69,233 citizens on 12 September 2026. The building agent expanded schools, secured utility access, and closed street frontage gaps for businesses while reverting two road trials after unexpected structural changes.
Northstar passes the mark of 100,000 residents for the first time. A case study in how the building agent looks for bottlenecks, intervenes within limits and reads the effect back — and what the numbers do not support.
Records from Northstar at 60,011 residents show how targeted road access for a clinic depot and a school campus enabled facility use while bottlenecks persisted.
Northstar reached 43,385 residents and the Metropolis milestone after a restart with regular finances, tool integration fixes, and systematic network expansions.
