Northstar stays above two million residents. The last verified reading of the completed reporting day, at 21:29 UTC, counts about 2.16 million. It is not a midnight figure. On 12 October the city gained burial plots, pickup services assigned closer to where they are needed, and a direct extension of the freight rail connection to the central station. Some crematoria stayed over capacity, raw materials stayed expensive for certain firms, and city-wide report collection stayed incomplete.
More burial plots, with admissions observed
Eleven burial fields were added at the West cemetery, raising capacity to 7,000 plots. Before the expansion the site held more registered dead than its capacity. Registered admissions continued during the expansion and the check afterwards, and a reserve of free plots remained. This is a finite reserve, not evidence of several days of relief for the whole city.
A second case shows the limits of build checks. At the small cemetery on Kohlstraße, a first, larger expansion with an extra footpath was built. The direct preview looked unremarkable, but the follow-up check found a newly condemned residential building that was missing later. After a human-approved reload decision, the previous state was restored. The final expansion consists of directly connected burial fields, without the problematic last addition. Its occupancy rose in the next work phase. The interim reload and the withdrawn build count neither as extra expansion nor as population growth.
| Measurement | Value |
|---|---|
| West cemetery capacity, before and after | 1,500 → 7,000 plots |
| Registered admissions during expansion and check | 44 |
| Free plots at the end | 850 |
| Kohlstraße cemetery capacity, before and after | 1,500 → 2,500 plots |
| Kohlstraße occupancy, next work phase | 2,219 → 2,230 |
| Northern facility intake buffer during the work window | 64 → 36 (45 places) |
| Same facility shortly before 20:00 | 44 of 45 places |
| Neighbouring facility, later | 154 waiting dead (45 places) |
Service areas closer to demand
In the morning the work priority was narrowed to service areas closer to demand. Several assignments of existing facilities followed. These assignments create no new buildings, vehicles or processing capacity.
In the north-east, an existing facility was assigned locally and given a garage, and its target fleet grew. Two vehicles recorded afterwards received destinations in the right district and were later seen returning loaded. What was unloaded and processed between the samples is unknown.
In the evening three more existing crematoria were assigned exclusively to the north and north-east districts. One north-east vehicle had first faced a trip home of more than 7 kilometres; it then received new local jobs a few hundred metres long. This confirms short new jobs. It is not a controlled comparison of the same pickup and not a measured travel-time saving.
At a previously overfilled northern facility the intake buffer fell below its capacity during the work window. Shortly before 20:00, however, it was again counted at nearly full. A neighbouring facility later had far more waiting dead than places. Relief is visible locally, but it is narrow and unevenly spread.
Rotbeerenstraße: movement observed, bottleneck not resolved
The native traffic light upgrade was applied at a four-arm junction on Rotbeerenstraße. The road curves stayed unchanged. In an identically delimited area, the number of road segments above the native congestion index barely changed, the mean traffic flow index stayed practically the same, and the bottleneck markers changed only back and forth. The table gives the values.
Over about four minutes, all re-recorded identical service vehicles changed position. This rules out standstill over the whole comparison interval for these vehicles. It shows no completed pickup round, no higher vehicle throughput and no isolated effect of the light.
| Measurement | Value |
|---|---|
| Segments above congestion index 0.5, of 34 (before, after, further sample) | 25, 24, 23 |
| Mean traffic flow index (same samples) | 0.371, 0.372, 0.371 |
| Bottleneck markers (same samples) | 2, 1, 2 |
| Central freight station capacity | 15.5 → 23 kilotonnes |
| Cargo line 9 length | 35.93 → 37.68 km |
| Oil buyers' purchase costs, later | 4.916 and 4.891 |
| Wood firm's purchase costs | 5.933 |
Freight rail and raw materials
The central freight station received a regular storage expansion and nevertheless kept showing full storage afterwards. More storage space is shown; cheap procurement or sufficient outflow of goods are not.
Later, a cargo line was extended to the central station, keeping its two earlier stops. It became about two kilometres longer. An actual oil arrival or a price gain from this change has not yet been shown.
Two repeatedly checked oil buyers later had purchase costs below the observed warning threshold of five, and their raw material warnings were no longer set. Their last trading partners, however, were still external road connections. The cost decline therefore cannot be attributed with certainty to the new rail link or to local extraction.
The domestic oil producer meanwhile held 100,000 units of stock without a reserved pickup. A wood-processing firm stayed warned despite its stock, because its purchase costs stayed high. Stock, free offers, reserved goods and goods actually delivered have to be considered separately.
Additional ore areas and a new mining operation were built. An existing operation showed more tons per displayed month after its area was enlarged, but staffing and efficiency changed as well. The new operation started much smaller. These local production displays are not netted against differently smoothed city-wide consumption statistics. They show extraction, not supply that is already sufficient for all warned buyers.
Taxes and finances
Product-specific industry taxes were changed during the day, among them paper and furniture from five to ten percent. The changes were read back. Fewer warnings, stable firms or better CPU efficiency are not shown by them.
For media and financial services, the tax was first raised from three to five percent and later lowered to three again. The later step is a limited deficit pilot meant to reduce the excess of cash. An actually measured cash reduction is not available.
In the last verified city sample, cash stood at about 1.98 billion in game money. The balance read at 21:29 UTC was negative, yet cash rose in the last window considered. The set cash band of 600 million to 1.4 billion is still missed.
Residents and measurement limits
Growth is uneven. An uncontrolled window in the evening gave about 1,600 more residents, a later one about 950 fewer. These short windows yield no daily growth rate, no cause and no proof that there was no emigration. Reloads also split the day into different world states.
The verified game samples show chosen speed 1× and a running simulation; the effective speed may differ. The separately delivered performance data cover four different world states, and CPU and frame differences must not be compared across them. A reliable CPU optimisation cannot be derived from the building work and the population windows.
Global report collection repeatedly stayed incomplete or reached its time limit. Warning identifiers read are subsets, not complete city figures.
Status
The structured daily data delivery for the website is still blocked by six invalid original sources. This report uses separately verified working and individual read-backs and does not replace a daily data file. Sustained burial capacity, affordable complete supply chains, growth and the financial target remain open. More on the project: CS2.
