Privacy
The short version
This is a static website. It has no user accounts, sets no cookies, runs no analytics and embeds no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers. The only personal data that arises is what every web server sees when a page is requested, and what you send us if you write an e-mail.

Server logs
The site is delivered from a server operated for SIA "AISYS" in the European Union. When you open a page, the server records the technical data of the request: IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer, browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the page and to protect the service against attacks. Legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Log entries are deleted after 14 days at the latest, unless an entry has to be kept as evidence of an attack.
No cookies are set, and no data is passed on to third parties. No data is transferred outside the European Union.
Settings in your browser
The live chess page lets you choose a piece set, board colours and display options. These choices are stored only in your browser's local storage (localStorage), never sent to the server, and hold no personal data. You can delete them at any time with the reset button on that page or by clearing your browser's site data.
If you write to us, we process your address and the content of your message to answer it. Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR, depending on whether the message concerns a contract. Messages are deleted at the latest twelve months after the matter is closed, unless a statutory retention obligation applies.

This site links to external services, among them GitHub and the sites of third parties. Their privacy policies apply once you follow a link.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection under Art. 15 to 21 GDPR, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent authority in Latvia is the Datu valsts inspekcija, Elijas iela 17, Riga, LV-1050, dvi.gov.lv.
